- Aluminum-alloy connecting rods for general-purpose and marine engines
 Die-cast materials are generally used for connecting rods for general-purpose engines. Four-stroke gasoline engines are the most common application, although recently, special forging materials have been developed which allow for the production of lighter weight connecting rods and enable their application in small diesel engines as well.
Our die-cast components range from JIS standard products to high-strength custom-made products, and we take pride in our ability to meet your needs. Our forged materials for utilization in small diesel engines are of superior high-temperature strength, and you can count on our expertise for orders outside the realm of JIS products. - Aluminum-alloy connecting rods for refrigeration and air-conditioning compressors
 Connecting rods for compressors must be designed for long life. While for some products die-cast materials are used, the majority use gravity cast molds. The superiority of our products in this field is well recognized by our customers around the world, as evidenced by the yearly increasing volume of our shipments.

Although screw-type air compressors are now gaining market share, reciprocating air compressors are still popular as inexpensive and simple components. In this application as well, our aluminum-alloy connecting rods are vital products and also useful for decreasing size, weight and vibration. Materials used are vary and may be forged, gravity cast or die cast. Here also, Nippon Wico’s superior quality places our products a rank above the competition.
